This Week in Restaurant Technologies, with Nate Riggs and Brandon Hull

Yahoo! and Yelp have announced a partnership wherein Yelp’s content will be visible within Yahoo search results.

The integration is pretty consistent, but not perfectly so. We break that down in this week’s episode of This Week in Restaurant Tech, with actual examples of how restaurants are coming up in search results — at least where I live.

You might think of this Yahoo/Yelp partnership as Yahoo’s (and Yelp’s) quick answer to Google displaying menus in their search results. And here’s the thing: some of you may be pumped that your menu shows up; whereas others may be excited (and prefer) that your reviews show up — depends on the condition of those reviews, eh?

Also, Nate highlights the update that’s coming to Starbucks’ custom mobile app. We’re both fans of the app, even though I’m not even a coffee drinker.

Let us know your thoughts on the Yahoo/Yelp partnership here in the comments, at Nate’s website, or let’s talk about it via Twitter in bite-sized, sound bite fashion.

We’re living in a restaurant technologies world here, folks.
