Resy sells reservations to people who love eating out, at popular destinations, but hate the hassle of being limited on reservation times. (Yes, “SELLS reservations” — you read that right.) Consumers bypass a restaurant’s traditional reservation queue, which the restaurant may elect to continue to outsource to OpenTable, or Yelp, or whomever, by purchasing access to one of your restaurant’s tables.

Resy then shares the revenue with participating restaurants. As of June 2014, Resy is focusing on the New York City restaurant market.
