Because a visitor may check out your website more than once during the period you’re viewing within your Analytics (like one day, one week, or one month), the term User is a key metric as well.
Your number of Users will always be lower than your number of Sessions. It represents the number of unique visitors to your site.
Now, keep in mind that a person could check out your site for the first time via their desktop browser one day, then later in the month visit your site via their smartphone browser. Generally speaking, Google will count these as two unique new Users.
