Another great episode of This Week in Restaurant Technologies. This latest installment is #15, and Nate and I address two primary topics:
- Technology. It’s not just for marketing. Quaker Steak & Lube has put Hot Schedules in place. While we won’t turn this into an advertisement for Hot Schedules or Red Book Connect, we do give our take on using technology for this sort of operational management.
- Tablets. How do you feel about DIY casual dining? Julia Bainbridge, food writer at Yahoo, is not a fan. Her article was a great lead-in to the other primary news story we focused on this week, “Hi, I’m a tablet. I’ll be your waiter tonight,” published in the New York Times. What are your thoughts? Are you excited about tablets in casual dining restaurants?
