Google Analytics for Restaurants: The Essentials

Google Analytics for Restaurants

4. A Users’ Average Session Duration.

Google Analytics - Avg. Session DurationThis is pretty straightforward. Average Session Duration represents the average amount of time one visit to your website represents. The more pages a User visits, the longer the session duration usually. The more arduous and complicated your online ordering process is, the longer the session.

But in general, do you get where I’m headed here? You probably do NOT want site visitors to spend too much time on your site, unless you’ve got a blog or additional, entertainment- or engagement-related content.

Side note: Your online ordering component is an entirely different subject for another day — some online ordering companies integrate with your website in such a way that you may get ZERO visitor insights within Google Analytics — you only get what the online ordering vendor provides you.
